Our School Mission & Vision

Children can...

Through a commitment to educational excellence, in a secure and supportive environment, the P.S. 129 community strives to know each child well, inspiring students to become lifelong learners with a strong sense of self-worth and respect. We facilitate scientific discovery, artistic creativity, problem-solving, and the use of technology. We respect different learning styles and encourage students to become independent thinkers and responsible citizens in a diverse world. We foster our beliefs in equity by meeting the diverse needs of our students and providing access through support, resources, and high expectations.

Our Instructional Focus

Our Instructional Focus for the 2023-2024 school year is to build teacher capacity to design and implement responsive core instructional programs with integrity. We will utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor all students' progress and engage in continuous multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) data-driven inquiry cycles to improve learning outcomes for all students.
